Petrit Ahmeti is the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Energy Regulatory Authority (ERE) and Vice-President of MEDREG. He holds an MSc in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Tirana (1981) and has over 40 years of distinguished experience in the power sector.
He has held senior leadership roles, including General Director of KESH S.A., and served as senior advisor to the Prime Minister and Ministers responsible for energy. He has authored and co-authored key studies and policy papers on energy system development and reform in Albania.
Appointed to ERE’s Board in 2004, he became Chairman in 2014 and was reappointed in 2019 and for a third mandate in 2024, reflecting strong institutional confidence in his leadership, expertise, and strategic vision for the energy sector.
