Alda Ozola has served as Chair of the Board of the Public Utilities Commission of Latvia since July 2021. She leads a multi-sector regulator and promotes forward looking regulation that supports the transition to climate neutrality.

Before joining the regulator, she was Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Regional Development from 2013 to 2021, overseeing climate policy, sustainability, environmental protection, and biodiversity. Her professional experience also includes leading environmental NGOs in Latvia, international cooperation, and serving on the board of the state- owned Latvian Environmental Investment Fund.

Since November 2022, she has been Vice President of the Council of European Energy Regulators and, since April 2023, a member of the Presidium of the Energy Regulators Regional Association. In 2026, she joined the Bureau of the OECD Network of Economic Regulators.
