Daiya Isogawa is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Economics, Osaka Metropolitan University, Japan. His research focuses on industrial organization and energy economics, with particular attention to electricity market design, consumer behavior under market liberalization, and regulatory pricing mechanisms. He has contributed to policy discussions on electricity market reform and regulatory frameworks in Japan, serving on advisory councils at the Electricity and Gas Market Surveillance Commission (EGC) and the Agency for Natural Resources and Energy (ANRE) of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). His academic work combines economic theory with empirical analysis to examine the behavioral mechanisms of market participants and to provide evidence-based evaluations of energy regulation. He contributes to academic debate on energy markets and regulatory policy through publications and presentations at international conferences. He holds a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Tokyo.
