Greece's Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste & Water (RAAEY)
Evangelia Gazi is a Senior Scientist of RAAEY, Greece's Regulatory Authority for Energy, Waste & Water, specializing in electricity and natural gas networks. Having served for several year as Head of the Chairman’s office, she is currently Head of the Vice-Chairman’s for the Energy Sector Office, responsible for the coordination of all activities of the energy sector, as well as Head of the Energy Infrastructure Unit. During 2015-2016 she has served as the co-chairwoman and during 2021-2022 as the vice-chairwoman of the Gas Working Group of the Mediterranean Energy Regulators (MEDREG).
Before joining RAAEY in 2008, she had extensive experience as a consultant in the private sector. She has a Chemical Engineering degree from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece (1990) and a Master’s (1992) and PhD (1995) in the same field from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
