Miriam Vera-Cruz is a senior engineer and energy transition leader with over 15 years of experience in the power sector. She serves as Chief Technical Advisor for Energy Transition under a Luxembourg Cooperation financed programme contributing to Cabo Verde’s energy sector transformation, where she leads complex initiatives at the intersection of infrastructure, regulation, and sector reform, working with public institutions, utilities, regulators, and development partners. Her work has helped translate sector priorities into bankable initiatives, with approximately EUR 5 million in programme funded technical assistance helping catalyse more than EUR 150 million in public and private investment in renewable energy and storage.
