ERSE – Portugal’s Energy Services Regulatory Authority
Pedro Verdelho is President of the Board at ERSE – Portugal’s Energy Services Regulatory Authority, a role he has held since 2021, following his tenure as Board Member from 2019. With over two decades of experience at ERSE, including as Head of Pricing and Tariffs, he has built a distinguished career in energy policy and regulation.
He is also actively engaged internationally, with a strong reputation for cooperation and consensus-building, serving as Vice-President of CEER and chairing several working groups across organizations such as ARIAE, ACER/CEER and MEDREG, contributing to collaboration in the electricity, gas and renewable energy sectors, respectively.
Pedro began his career in academia and research at Instituto Superior Técnico, where he also served as Assistant Professor. He holds a PhD, Master’s, and undergraduate degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the same institution.
