Ana Lúcia Costa is Head of the Fuels Office at Portugal’s Energy Services Regulatory Authority (ERSE). She leads the development of supervisory methodologies and oversees the markets for petroleum-derived fuels, LPG and low-carbon transport fuels.
Ana Lúcia holds a degree in Management and a Master’s in Finance from ISCTE. She has also completed several executive programmes in energy regulation and fuel markets. With more than 15 years of experience in the regulation of different energy sectors, she has devoted the past eight years to fuels and bioenergy.
Throughout her career, Ana Lúcia has held key advisory roles in the Cabinet of the Secretary of State for Energy of the Portuguese Government, contributed to projects involving the European Commission, and worked closely with leading national and international organisations in the energy sector. Earlier in her career, she worked as a tax consultant at Deloitte.
