Energy Regulatory Authority of Quebec (Regie de l'energie)

François Émond  holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Université Laval and a master’s degree in management and sustainable development from HEC-Montréal. He has worked as principal advisor and chief of staff in various federal and provincial ministerial offices, including International Relations, Environment, Energy and Treasury departments. He is a commissioner at the Régie since February 2018 and represents the regulator on CAMPUT’s executive committee since 2019. More recently, he acted as Acting Chair of the Régie for a few weeks and has been appointed vice-chair of CAMPUT in September 2025.
