Association of Mediterranean Energy Regulators (MEDREG)

Mr Ozkoc is the Director of the Association of Mediterranean Energy Regulators (MEDREG). He leads MEDREG in the development of activities, tools, regulatory standards, and good practices aimed at promoting a functional, interoperable, compatible, and sustainable regulatory framework in the Mediterranean region. He also represents the organisation in international energy fora and maintains close relations with institutional partners, fostering networking and partnership opportunities.

Prior to MEDREG, he was Sector Manager for Energy at the Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye, between July 2010 and March 2018. In 2006, he worked as Senior Gas Expert (Head of Hydrocarbons) for the Energy Community Secretariat in Vienna, where he contributed to the development of strategies for gas market structures in the South-Eastern European Countries.

 He joined Petroleum Pipeline Corporation (BOTAS) in 1994 as a natural gas engineer, and worked for the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) from its establishment in 2001 until 2009.

He received a BS in Metallurgical and Materials Science Engineering and later an MS from the Middle East Technical University (METU).
