Andrej joined the Energy Community Secretariat in 2024 as the Head of ECRB Unit responsible for coordinating and supporting activities of the Energy Community Regulatory Board and National Regulatory Authorities in the Energy Community.

Between 2020 and 2023, he was Chairman of URSO, the Slovak national energy and water regulatory agency, where he led efforts to integrate the Clean Energy Package for All Europeans in the energy regulatory framework in Slovakia. Among his prior assignments were CEO and Chairman of the Board of ZSE Distribucia, the largest electricity DSO in Slovakia, Vice President at economic consulting NERA, and Advisor to Chairman of the Slovak Antimonopoly Office.

Andrej, a graduate of the Slovak Technical University and Princeton University’s School of Public and International Affairs, has been engaged in energy regulation, energy sector transformation, and competition policy enforcement for most of his professional career.
